The new MarketWatch.com

After 5+ months and an NDA, I can finally share that I helped lead the Magenic team behind the complete ASP.NET MVC overhaul of MarketWatch.com.

Over the last 5+ months myself (as well as thirteen other Magenic consultants) have been nose-to-the-grind-stone on a very high profile project. Due to the NDA at the time we were not allowed to state where we were working and on what we were working on. However, that time has now passed.

Let me start off by saying this … the last 5+ have been the most challenging of my technical career. Never in my life have I seen a team of consultants and company FTE come together as I have in this project. Tasked with what most would consider a death march we overcame the odds and shipped a product that by my standards is quite amazing. I give it up to the entire MarketWatch.com team and Magenic team for overcoming the odds and working so hard to complete such a challenging task.

What did we do …. ???

marketwatchThe project was … a complete overhaul of the premier News Corp site: MarketWatch.com.

I could go into all of the details of who, what and why, but I would already be restating what my colleague Lou DeJardin (who I respect _very_ highly)  already stated here in an _excellent_ blog post.
